Well Happy New Year, just a little late! I know you've all wondered where I've been and what we've been up to and I'm so sorry to have kept you waiting (ha!). We had a wonderful Christmas, spent lots of time snuggling, did a whole lot of nothing, and think the entire thing just went way too soon!!
Unfortunately, two days into our break, the Princess came down with what we (a.k.a. the pediatrician that is not our normal pediatrician but the only one we could get in to see) thought was a nasty cold. However, it turned out that it wasn't just a nasty cold, but actually a nasty case of RSV. Of course, we only learned that after we were sitting in the emergency room the day after Christmas. Oh the joys of the season. Fortunately, she is doing much better now and is quickly getting back to normal, "I'm not spoiled, just well taken care of" self!
Chase and I are back at school/work and just enjoying every moment of it (insert sarcasm). We had to go back on Monday, which was just crazy, and neither of us were really happy about it. But, we are now two days closer to summer, so at least that's a plus!
We have lots of plans for 2012 and I'm determined it's going to be a great year! Duchess' company is starting their boat shows (I'll have to do a whole post on that), we are looking into a FET (yikes and please dear Lord, Let it work), we have a Disney trip coming up (hey, it may be in December, but it's still this year) and tons of other good things going on.
Hoping everyone else has a good Christmas and wonderful New Year, one day I'll get all caught up on reading and posting... maybe!!
Here's a comparison shot to leave you with:
So, I totally can't get this bigger without making it blurry, but you get the picture. Nothing like a little comparison of New Years 2010, 2011, 2012 to make you realize just how quickly your kids are growing!
****I am grateful for
1) a wonderful vacation
2) a princess that is feeling much better
3) having Chase at the school with me, he's a bright spot in my day!
4) two days closer to summer
5) a great 2012!
A trip! A trip!
