I forgot...

I'll be honest, I forgot about the blog.  For four months, I forgot about it.  Life is busy, there's very little downtime, and before I know it the day is over and a new one is here!

The kids are amazing.  Chase is rocking 6th grade and that's not easy.  He's in all pre-AP classes and has stayed on the honor roll while doing band and tennis.  I'm not surprised, he's pretty amazing.  He continues to be a fantastic big brother and loves his little sister with a passion.  He is almost as tall as me and if growing so fast. 11 1/2, how did that happen?

Emery just turned 7 and is a sweet, sassy, hot mess! She is so smart and caring, basically following in her brother's footsteps.  She is loving first grade and I love having her down the hall.  She has taken on the big sister roll with grace and style and loves her little sister as much as she loves her big brother.  Not that I ever had any doubts!

Phoebe is now 8 months old and is an absolutely joy.  She has fit right in and is such a happy, sweet baby.  Everyone is immediately smitten and wants to take her home.  She has two teeth and is so close to crawling.  She loves her mommy, but not nearly as much as I love her.  I look at her and just can't believe how blessed we have been.

Life is good, busy but good.  It's amazing how it can change so much in such a short amount of time.  Of course, I wouldn't change it for the world.

I hope everyone out there is well (if anyone still checks this thing).  I looked and the list of blogs I follow seems to be in the same boat... busy with no updates!

****I am thankful for
1) Fall weather... finally
2) my three little miracles
3) holidays are coming!
4) baby belly laughs
5) a busy, full life

A drive-by posting ;o)

I'm pretty sure that if I could post on here as easily as I can on Facebook, I'd have a lot more posts!!  I need to figure out a way to do that.  So much has gone on.  Emery graduated kinder, Chase graduated 5th, we went on our first Disney World trip as a family of 5 (and then some), Phoebe is 4 1/2 months old and growing like a weed.  She rolls, found her feet, babbles nonstop, and is practically perfect in every way!  I think of all these things I need to say on here so that I remember them, but never seem to have the time to sit and post.  Here are some updated pics.

**** I am grateful for
~ summer vacation
~ another wonderful trip to Disney (despite the tropical storm)
~ a/c (it's hot in TX)
~ rain, even though we haven't had any in a while

And she stole a third of my heart all over again.

I just fell in love with her all over again! These were taken by Stephanie Keeland Photography when Phoebe was 8 days old, completely in love.
