Life

Wow, it's been almost two years.  Life is busy.  Social media is fast and easy to update friends and family and to be honest, I can't even tell you the last time I was on the laptop was.  Or the last time I was on this blog.  But today I read an update on Facebook about a sweet couple whose IVF results did not come out as they had prayed and it yanked me right back to the days when we experienced the same.  This blog was my outlet and I was so thankful for it.  For the people it connected me to.  For the safe haven it gave me.  A particular post weighed on me and I came here to find it and share with them.  Then I looked at the date of my last post and wow.  That's all I can say.

Life is going so fast.  The kids are growing, Chase is struggling to find his wings and do his own thing.  He's kind of at that I'm a teenager, but still a kid phase.  He's 13 now, just finished 7th grade, all Pre-AP classes (math is bad enough, Pre-AP math makes me need Valium), honor roll, honor band, just pretty much an awesome kid 95% of the time.  5% of the time I'm ready to sell him to the highest bidder (we'll blame that on teenager hormones)!

Emery is now 8 going on 20.  I had no clue a little girl could have so much sass and I wouldn't change a thing! She just finished 2nd grade, all A's, does tumbling, had taken a break from dance but starts back up in August, and is an absolutely amazing artist.  The kid draws better than me!

Our little Phoebe Ann is the big 2 now.  She is me made over and wears me out every single day... I LOVE it!! I am her person and I'll admit, I'm good with that.  I still can't believe we got her, I look at her and am in awe to think she was frozen for 6 years... how is that possible?  She loves to climb, talks nonstop, refuses to give up her bottle or binky, doesn't sleep through the night, and makes us laugh and smile nonstop.

As for me, I am enjoying summer break immensely.  While I love teaching, I love the break to refuel and be home with my kids.  I recently read how you only get 18 summers with them, so make them count.  Then I thought of Chase.  This is summer 13, what will I do when 18 hits?  Ugh, can't think about it.

The past year did have some tough spots, but we've held together and made it through.  I really hope all my old blogger friends are well too.  I looked and it appears that so many are like me and life I has just gotten in the way of their blogs as well.  I'll leave with some pics of us and the kids.  I still can't believe how fast this is all going.

Hugs to all!
