Little Angels

In Loving Memory of Simon Griffin Overmyer 11/17/10-11/21/10

When God calls little children to dwell with Him above.

We mortals sometimes question the wisdom of His love.

For no heartache compares with the death of one small child,

who does so much to make our world seem wonderful and mild.

Perhaps God tires of calling the aged to His fold.

So He picks a rosebud before it can grow old.

God knows how much we need them and so He takes but a few,

to make the land of Heaven more beautiful to view.

Believing this is difficult still somehow me must try.

The saddest word mankind knows will always be "Goodbye".

So when a child departs we who are left behind,

must realize God loves children too, Angels are hard to find.

****I am grateful for
1) God's love
2) continued prayers
3) wisdom, even that which we do not understand
4) comfort
5) rosebuds

This poem is very fitting, and so true. Although, we may never understand why something as tragic as this would ever happen, it is comforting to know that beautiful, precious child is now in heaven. May God be with this family in their time of great sorrow. I will continue to pray for them.

This is beautiful. I want to pass it on to a friend...wonder if I should - don't want to make her cry. :-(

I am so sorry to hear about your friend's loss. How devastating. I'm glad that you can be there for them, and I will pray for everyone too.
