Our Pumpkin is an Onion! (17 weeks)

Baby's skeleton is hardening, changing from rubbery cartilage to bone, and fat is finally accumulating around it. The umbilical cord is getting thicker and stronger, and those little fingers and toes are now topped by one-of-a-kind prints. (www.thebump.com)

Your baby's skeleton is changing from soft cartilage to bone, and the umbilical cord — her lifeline to the placenta — is growing stronger and thicker. Your baby weighs 5 ounces now (about as much as a turnip), and she's around 5 inches long from head to bottom. She can move her joints, and her sweat glands are starting to develop. Only 16 more days until we find out gender and I can't wait. I feel pretty good, most of the time. Brushing my teeth is still awful and I feel queasy in the mornings, but it passes most days without having to take anything. At my appointment yesterday the nurse asked if I was eating because I was losing weight, I think that is probably the first time in my life that anyone has ever said that to me!!! I assured I was and that this happened when I was pregnant with Chase.

We were hoping to start on the deck this weekend, but it looks like rain is in the forecast and that might put a stop to our plans. Not a big deal, we'll just start later. We are under the two month mark for Disney and I don't know who is more excited in our family! I guess that's about it on the homefront.

***I am grateful for
1) downhill side of the week!
2) rain (even though it means no deck, the grass could use it)
3) another early bedtime... ha, who am I kidding
4) 15 days of school left!
5) 17 rockin' weeks (and I was told that my chance of m/c is extremely low now yesterday - woooohoooo!)
